The best and fastest way to learn HTML

The best way I've found to learn HTML, or any kind of coding, is through a free online tutorial like w3schools. In fact, that site is the best one I've found, and a lot of the tech types I know use it. They have just about every language you could want to learn. The tutorials are simple, and easy to follow. They even have examples you can click on, that will take you to a page that shows the HTML code in a box on the left side of the screen, and the results on the right side. You can edit the code, mess around with it, and hit a button, and the right side of the screen will show you the new results, so you can experiment and learn faster. You can go at your own pace. And it's free, free, free! You take your time, learn a language from their tutorials for free, and they get their money if you decide you want to get an actual certification in a language. You pay them about $60, and take 60 question exam in 60 minutes. (No essay questions!) If you pass, they send you your certification and you can put it on your resume. They offer the value of learning languages to everyone, and you pay them money only if you want certification to show for it. If you just want the skills, you can learn it for free. You just can't do better than that in my opinion, and that is why I use them.
While you're studying HTML at w3schools, it often helps to have a place to practice online. Getting your hands dirty is a great way to apply - and retain - the knowledge you absorb. Getting an account on a free hosting site like 110mb - the best hosting site I've found - is a great way to practice what you're learning by creating a website for practice. And when you're done, you've not only learned HTML, but you have a working website you designed yourself.

I want to be able to make "log-in" pages, forms for people to download... etc. What should I learn first and then 2nd?

I'm glad you found the information useful! If you're looking to build a site that will host videos for your business, however, it's even easier than learning HTML or CSS. You don't need them, and what you're trying could be pretty complicated. There's a much easier way!
It's called a CMS, or Content Management System. So many people build websites that there are systems now that will allow you to build them with point-and-click, not having to learn any language. I recommend Drupal (at drupal.org). It's free, and supported by tons of developers. If you want your website to host videos, choose a video module, install it, and configure it with your site! E-commerce? Add the ecommerce module. There are tons of different modules written, and what you install onto your site will depend on what you want your site to do.
Better still, there are free webhosts that support one-click installations of basic Drupal sites, onto which you can tack your modules. MyOwnFreeWeb.com is such a site, and when you start a free account there you can select Drupal as the site you'd like to install, and it will create one for you. From there, it's just a matter of adding modules and configuring them with your new site. You can even download new layouts for your site to give it a new look, or create one for yourself.
Drupal uses HTML and CSS, but it does the coding for you. It's sort of a go-between, working out the coding needed based on what you want. It's very simple, and is probably just what you're after here. With a one-click install of a standard Drupal site, I think you'll be well on your way! I've designed sites in just a few hours, and a lot of the fun is coming up with new site ideas and being able to make them happen almost immediately.

wschools.com potrays themselves as being a branch of the w3.org. But according to this web site www.w3fools.com, they [w3.org] have nothing to do with them.
Now, though i find the website [w3schoolc.com] useful, i think there should be some clarification on the part of w3schools.com to validate this certification they are giving since i wouldn't want to waste money on a certificate that would be seen as questionable in the future.
learning css and html is a great way to get yourself out on the web, and once you master that and all of the cross browser compatibilities i'm positive you will find work in a field online!

Go to http://www.w3fools.com. You will find that w3schools is giving wrong information in almost all topics. I recommend that you learn HTML, CSS and JS from developer.mozilla.org which gives us correct information.

It appears that the site you've recommended is half designed to put people off W3, or pressure them to become user-editable, Wiki-style. Doing this makes content malleable, subject to the majority opinion - rather than being strictly factual. That's not cool, and it appears to be deliberate.
That being said, a lot of corrections they make appear to be valid. And facts are, and must be, impartial. So to that extent, what they're doing must be acknowledged as valid. Thank you, Piyush!
